Sonic Spectrum Tribute Series : New Order
Sonic Spectrum Tribute Series : New Order
Quarterly tribute series featuring Kansas City's best musicians playing their favorite songs of artists chosen by DJ Robert Moore of 96.5 The Buzz's Sonic Spectrum.
Mysterious Clouds
Mysterious Clouds
Mysterious Clouds delved deep into album cuts of lost 60's psych acts for inspiration to mix with their love of post-punk, shoegaze, 60's Italian soundtracks, and 70's British action scores.

The brothers' Moore from Monta at Odds have spun off their heavier leanings into a new group called Mysterious Clouds.

The music is wild, introspective and at times an acid trip for the ears and a space exploration for the mind.

Pageant Boys
Pageant Boys
Based out of Kansas City, Pageant Boys, is the project of Alexander Sheppard. Pageant Boys marks a new and more electronic phase in the career of Sheppard who began writing guitar-based soul and jazz music fifteen years ago. Wolf in a Suit had this to say of Pageant Boys' first EP: “You are left speechless and in complete awe by the magic, truth and majestic unknown that is part of the track. It makes it so beautiful, so real and in a strange way we connect with it, we fall victims to their soundscape and there’s no going back."

Calvin Arsenia
Calvin Arsenia
A mix of the bizarre and experimental musings of Jonsi with the swooping, hearty melodies of Amos Lee and the raw acoustic emotion of Damien Rice will form a gentle, heartfelt style that defines the music of Calvin Arsenia. Arsenia made his debut as a performer in early 2010. Since then he has written, arranged and produced 5 EPs collaborating with many musicians and singers along the way. Standing at 6 foot 5 inches, Arsenia strikes a commanding presence complimented by his equally powerful vocal capacity. Hailing from Kansas City, Kansas, Arsenia performs his acoustic show in pubs and local venues around the city, often accompanied by a female harmony. In his sets, Arsenia displays his soaring vocal range that hints at classical training all the while holding on to the avant-garde arrangements that define his soulful style.
